Soft spot on the north sill
About 18 inches of sill under the north window gives when pressed. Paint is intact, so it has been wet from behind. Rot repair, not a full sill replacement, as far as I can tell.

House is dry and the furnace is running on schedule. Oil is down to a quarter, so I put in an order — Cumberland Fuel says Nov 18. One thing to look at: about eighteen inches of sill under the north window gives when I press it. Not urgent. It will take water this spring if it sits.
